The Fatal Fire in Palmerston.

LATER PARTICULARS.

(Per Press Association). Palmerston N., This Day. The names of the men burned in the Empire Hotel are ascertained to be Maurice Connell and John Dewney. The latter recently arrived in Auckland from Adel&ide. After visiting Napier he came on to Palmerston North. Connell was an old man sometimes employed in the hotel. The furniture was insured in the United Company for £1000. An inquest on the bodies and the cause of the fire is being held to dav.
