♦ 1 Per Press Association I London, July 28. The English wheat market is firm, the Continental is inclined to buoyancy, and the American snows a general advance. Cargoes of South Australian wheat sold as follows :— Per ship Queen of Scots, 25s 3d ; per ship Hehos, 24s ; per barque Seriol Wyn, 25s 6d. Spot quotations in New York for No. 2 red winter wheat is 79J ceufcs. At yesterday's sales 1550 casks Australian tallow were put up to auction, of which 1000 casks were sold. The prices realised were — Medium mutton, 21s 6d ; medium beef, 20s. Silver, 2s 6d 3-16ths. Ottawa, July 28. The official estimate of the Manitoba wheat crop is 30,000,000 bushels.
