Sensational Shooting Case.
DEATH OF STEWART. (Per Press Association.) Invercargill, July 22. Hugh Stewart, the victim of the shooting outrage at Balfour, died at Riyersdale to-night. John Keown, who was before the Court to-day and remanded, will now be charged with wilful murder. It is stated that Middlerniss, the Magistrate's Court bailiff, seized two of Keown's horses on Friday night, but being fired at by him, abandoned them, and got Stewart with him on the fatal errand on Saturday.
