GREAT FIRE IN PARIS. (Per Press Association.) London, July 2. The balance sheet of tbe National Bank of New Zealand shows a profit of £31,606, The directors propose to declare a dividend of 5 per cent., and carry forward £19,106. Tbe deposits amount to £1,534,640 ; bills discounted, advances on security and cash items, £2,004,500. The Kaikoura arrived at Plymouth with her meat in good condition. The ship Turakina, form Port Chalmers, April 20, has arrive*, in the Channel, having made an exceedingly smart passage ot 70 days. Paris, July 2. A great fire has taken place in the Rue Concondel, and damage was occasioned to the extent of £2,000,000.
