Wellington Land Board.
The monthly meeting oE the above was held yesterday. Present — The Commmissioner of Crown Lands (in the chair •, Messrs T. W. Fisher, A. \V. Fitzherbert, A. W. Hogg, M.H.R., and Fred. Pirani, M.H.R. Following applications for titles approved — Harrison and Collinson, see--11, Block 11, Pohangina ; D. Mcßeth, section 8, Block IV, Mangahao ; J. Oiiphani, section 19, Block IX, Apiti ; F. Richardson, section 18, Block XVI, Ongo. Transfers approved — R. J. Harris (deceased) to E. Gt. Harris, section 33, Block IV, Apiti ; F. H. Prichard to W. A. Prichard, section 3, Block YILT, Ongo. Five application, to approve mortgages were agreed to. Mr Longhurst waited on tbe Board in reference to the improvements on sections 69 and 70, Block IX, Mangaone. — The Board decided to issue the title on receipt of statutory declaration as to the value of improvements. Applications to surrender accepted — J. L. Wildbore, section 33, Block IV, TJniutoi . F. Pickerton, section 25, Block I, do. Applications to capitalise approved — Gr. Avery, sections 20 and 21, Block VII, Mangahao, and H. Hirst, section 30, Block XI, do ; H. Osborne, section 30, Block XI, Apiti - A. M. Dawsoa, sections 33 and 34, Block I, Mangaone ; S. Dawson, section 31, Block I, do ; J. Astwood, section 49, Block V. J. B. Pringle's application for totara reserve 11a, Block 11, Pohangina (Oroua river) was accepted, the 50 acres being loaded with £150 for timber. J. Jeffries was granted his title for sections 1378, 1380, and 1382, Bunny. thorpe, on improvements being effected. Jeremiah Lonergan's application for title for section 4, Block VIII, Ongo, was passed under the special circumstances. To facilitate loans under the Advances to Settlers Act, the Commissioner was granted power to approve of mortgages to that department. T. Greenhorn was exempted from residence on section 34, Block XV, Apiti, during the Board's pleasure. In reference to a number of queries put to members of the Marton No. 2 Association, the explanations received were accepted. It was decided to call on A. F. Wade to shew why he had purchased section 21, Block XVI, Hautapu, without the consent of the Board. It was decided to give M. J, Turner, Apiti, one month's notice to show why section 2 1 , Block V, Umutoi, should not be forfeited. __
