AUCKLAND MEETING. (Per Press Association.) Auckland, June 1. The following entries have been received for the Grand National Meeting :— Winter Welter Handicap— Grenadier, Tim, Thunderbolt, Waiangona, Pororua, Frontignac, Samoa, The Sharper, Royal Heart of Oak, Esparto, Bog Trotter Handicap Hurdle Race (second day) — Ida, Tip, Marechal Neil, Warrior, Ladybird, Ebor, Bonovoree, Variety, Strayshot, Fright, Coala, Donald McKinnon. Tally-ho Steeplechase— Cingalee, Ika Vuka, Belle, Union Jack, Despised, Kildare, Bombardier, Deceiver, Norton, Nero, Fishmonger, Amalgam, Aorere, Donald McKinnon, Chester, Scaltheen. There is a revival in the betting on the Grand National Hurdle Race and Great Northern Steeplechase. Ebor and Norton have been backed to win about at 100's to 5, and Libertor and Bombardier are also well supported.
London, May 29. At the Epson races do-day, the following are the results of the other chief events : — Oaks— La Sagease 1, Galestana % Penkridge 3. Epsom Grand Prize — Whittier 1, Powick 2. No third horse placed.
