No Loans for Victoria or New South Wales.
(Per Press Association). Melbouene, This Day. The Premier denies the rumoured intention of Victoria to place a loan on the market, and states ample money is in hand to meet all present requirements, and if funds are needed he will raise the I money locally. Sydney, This Day. The Premier states the Government have no present intention of raising a loan, even under the present verj' opportune conditions. The action of New Zealand in raising 3 per cent loan is regarded by him simply as the outcome of the extraordinary favorable state of the market. A year or two ago, he say\s, such a proposal would have invited certain failure, and its success is evidence of the favor in which Australian securities are regarded in England.
