Killed by Lightning.

(Per Press Association.) i Sydney, April 21. j A reruftrkable accident occurred t» the Deniliquin to Hay coach on the 9th April. Shortly after it left Sixteen mile Gums, a violent thunderstorm occurred, with vivid lightning, which struck the off side leader which was killed instantly. This frightened the rest of the team, and Lloyd, Cobb's Deniliquin agent, ran to the head of the other leader to hold him. No sooner was this done than a second flash of lightning struck the near side wheeler, causing it to sink on its haunches and throw it forelegs up in ! the air. The horse, however, was only paralysed, not killed, and managed to walk away after the harness had been taken off. There were three passengers besides Lloyd and the driver.
