WAITUNA WEST.

At the meeting of householders Mr Jolly presided. The report showed £1 10s had been spent in improving the school land, and there was still a credit balance in hand. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing term: — Messrs E. Shannon (chairman), A. E. Pearce (secretary and treasurer), S. Strawbridge, E. H. Humphrey, R ( May hew, E. Wahle, and H. Jolly. (PBB PKESS ASSOCIATION) Reefton, This Day. There was considerable interest in the school committee election owing to a recent dispute between the retiring committee and the headmaster. All the old committee except one, were rejected.
