The Half-Holiday in Auckland.
O ; — (Per Press Association). Auckland, March 30. The Secretary of the Early Closing Association telegraphed to the Hon. W. Reeves, stating that the City Council had decided to request the Mayor to declare Wednesday as the half-holiday. On. behalf of the Association he requested the Minister to get an injunction to prevent the Mayor from acting. The Minister replyed that the telegram would re. ceive immediate attention.
