Messrs Abraham and Williams report : —Our sales for the week were held at Pohangina and Palmerston. At the former on Tuesday sheep were in full numbers. Under the hammer little or no business ensued, though the bulk sold afterwards. A heavy entry of sheep came forward at Palmerston yesterday, and on the whole a fair loi. At first the demand was languid, but soon improved, business at times being quite brisk. We have no change to report. Prices are firm at quotations. Cattle were in short supply, buyers scarce, a good bone prevailing. Pohangina— 2 tooth wethers, 5s 9d to 6s 6d ; shorn lambs, 2a 3d to 3s ; 4tooth ewes, 4s lOd ; others, ss. Fat steers, £4. 5s : yearlings, 38s. Palmerston — 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 6s 3d ; 2tooth ewes, 69 3d to 6s 7d ; others, 4s to 5s 6d ; f.m. eweß, 3s 6d to 5s ; shorn lambs, 3a 4d ; in wool, 4a 4d. CattleFat cows, light weights, A3 10s ; 18-raon. heifers, 37s ; 3-yr steers, £8 5* ; 18-mon. do., £2 2s ; 2-yr do., £2 9s ; weaners, 24s 6d.
