i Q . The Newmarket Handicap will bo run to-morrow. The totalisator tax on the three day's racing at Dunedin amounted to £315 11s 4d. Gipsy Grand, who performed so wfell at the Dunedin meeting, was purchased iu Sydney for £120. Now £1000 has been refused for the colt. The Government totalisator tax ou the Manawatu Autumn meeting will amount to £117 os. PALMERSTON TROTTING CLUB. The following results came to hand after we went to press yesterday : — Manawatu Handicap Trot, three miles —The Frog 1, Te Horo 2, Maud V. 3. Dividend, £2 ss. A protest against Te Horo for inconsistent running was dismissed. Handicap Pony Trot (saddle) 2 miles. — Again 1, Eric 2, Topsy 3. Dividend, M 2s. Electric Handicap (saddle) 1 mile.— The Frog 1, Nellie 2, Jenny 3. Dividend, £2 10s. Post Stakes (saddle) 1 mile.—Strathconnan 1, Silverwood 2, Blackbird o. Dividend, £1 14s. A protest against Strathconnan for inconsistant running was dismissed. Autumn Handicap Trot (harness') 3 miles. — Three Cheers 1, Jenny 2, Grenadier 2. Dividend, £1 11s.
