Charges of Embezzlement.
(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, Feb. 18. At Kaiapoi James Whitehead was committed for trial on a charge of embezzling several sums of money of the Kaipoi Working Mens' Club, of which he was treasurer. He was remanded, on four charges of embezzling moneys of the Kaiapoi Oddfellow's Lodge.
