At the Presbyterian Assembly, the report on religion and morals "was adopted with a clause to the effect that if the new Divorce Bill bo re-introduced next session of Parliament, a committee be instrupted to petition against an alteration in the present divorce law. The grants for Church extension included £50 to Pahiatua, £50 to Hastings, £20 to Danevirke, £30 to Picton, £25 to Hunterville, £25 to Stratford, and grants to other churches varying from £20 to £10. The grants for ohurch extension also in* elude the following :— Taradale, £20; Ormond, £20 ; Waipawa, £12 ; Wanganui Woodville, New Plymouth, Halcombe, Patea and Ohingaiti, £20 ; Manaia, £15 ; Stratford and Feilding, £"25,
