During the last four months the import of butter, from the Continent has increased by 500Qt tons, and frorq the colonies by 2000 tons, as. compared, with 1894. Four thousand, togs of colonial butter is afloat, and the Supplies are heavy... Weddel's circular says the glut in the butter market is serious, and during the next two. months it will be necessary to sell 5000 tons iv order to clear qolonial supplies.
