The Urawera Country.
(PEB PRESS ASSOCIATIONS Auckland, February 5. The Hon. Mr Cadman, now atHuntly, has received a communication from Mr Gordon, who is in the Urawera country, saying that the inland Natives objected very strongly to the party going in past Mangapohatu, and offered to send a party of four Natives to bring out the sample pf stone svipposed to be gold-bearing. In defence tp tb.ejr wishes, -Mr. Gardpn decided not to proceed further, bu.t tp await tho return of these messengers, Mr Gordon mentions that, judging from tho information and the olass of country, he is not very much Impressed with it as gold-bearing country.
