Feildmg Eire Brigade.

A meeting of the Feilding Fire Brigade was held in the Forester's Hall last evening. Present — Capt. A. Eade (in the chair), Lieut. Tank, Foreman New* ' man, Branchman Gosling, Firemen J. Bishop, Mansell, Parker, J. Taylor, W. Hicks, P. Thomson, A. Wilson, J. Humphrey, and H. Worsfold (secretary). The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed-. The Secretary reported that he had received a communication from' the Secretary of the Marton Fire Brigade, stating that the drawing of the Art Union resulted in this Brigade winning the first and twenty-eighth, and Capt. Eade the twenty-sixth, prizes, of a total value of about 30s. He also reported that the late concert resulted in a net profit of £4 ss, which was placed to their credit in the Bank, making a total credit balance of £25 17s sd, with an outstanding liability of abont -610. ' R. Bilderbeek and D. Macfarlane were elected members of the Brigade. The members' roll was revised, the names of several non-attending members ' being struck off. Resolved, That Fireman Mansell be paid the sum of 10s for attendance at the fire after the Brigade left. > Resolved, That the offer Of the Wanganui Fire Brigade, to sell a hose reel for £10, be accepted and that the Secretary send for it at once. Resolved, That the Secretary write > to Napier and enquire the cost of half* i a dozen helmets. Resolved, That, if the funds permit, a couple of grappling irons be procured.
