Kiwitea County Tenders
The following tenders were received by the Kiwitea County Council on Saturday last :— Forming and culverting 55£ chains (in two contracts) of the Mangarnako roud — D. Buchanan, No 1 contract £20, No. 2 £34 15s (accepted) ; M. Doherty, No. 1 28s 6d per chain, No. 2 22s 6d ; J. Madden and Co., £83 for both ; W. J. Pauline, No. 1 £'25, No. 2 £45 ; J. Garland, No. 1 £32 10s, No. 2 £39 ; J. Speed, No. 1 £25, No. 2 £39 7s 6d ; J. Mackintosh, No. 1 £28, No. 2 £38 16s. Making and culverting about 50 chains of bridle track on Kiwitea-Tapuae road— J. Keenan, 9s Id per chain for whole of work (accepted) ; J. Macintosh £28 10s for contracts Nos. 1 to 4 and i £21 5s for Nos. 5 and 6 ; Hovind and Martin, 12s a chain for whole ; R. MacIntyre, 9s 6d per chain for whole ; Behreht and Strawbridge, £29 for Nos. 1 to 4, and 14s a chain for Nos. 5 and 6 ; J. Madden and Co., £57 10s for whole ; W. F. Marsh, Nos. 1 to 4 ±45, No. 5 £22 12s, No. 6 £11 ss ; J. Garland, Nos. Ito 4 12s 5d a chain, Nos. 5 and 6, 10s 6d a chain.
