The Times states that, it is rumoured that the Scotch Banks will assist the Australian reconstructed banks to meet interest on deposits The weekly returns of the bank of England published show the total reserve to be £26,202,000, and the proportion of reserve to liabilities 62*62 per cent. N.Z. frozen mutton, first quality, 41 per lb ; second do, 3^d. N.Z. lamb, Jd per lb. N Z hemp, market unchanged. N.Z. long berried wheat, ex warehouse firm at 25s per quarter. South Australian wheat, ex warehouse steady at 2 s 6d ; Victorian ditto, Bteady at 263f .^— — -__—
