Beaconsfield Cosmopolitan Church.
« . A meeting of trustees of the Beaconsfield Cosmopolitan Church was held in the Church on Thursday evening, and the following business transacted. The trustees were all present, except Mr Boer who was absent from the district. Mr Sinclair was voted to the chair. The Treasurer showed that after all donations and proceeds of tea were in hand there remained a deficiency of £'14, which the trustees agreed to bear in equal shares, so as to entirely free the Church from debt. Proposed by Mr Camplin, seconded by Mr Gordon, That the Church be sold. An amendment, proposed by Mr Wallis and seconded by Mr Buchanan, That the Church be not sold, was carrried on the casting vote of the Chairman. Proposed by Mr Buchanan, and seconded by Mr Gordon, That the clergymen of the various churches be written to, requesting them to meet, and arrange for all to have a share of the Sunday services, who may wish to.— Carried unanimously. Proposed by Mr Buchanan, seconded by Mr Wallis, That the Secretary be authorised to let a part of the seats at 2s 6d per annum, or 10s the pew, to provide for lighting and cleaning of Churcli. — Carried.
