Grass seed operations are now in full swing, and on all sides fair to excellent yields are reported. Fully 400 acres of grass have been cropped this season comprising cocksfoot, rye, crested dog's tail, Timothy, fox-tail, sheep fescue, &c During the holidays a number of bush fires were raging from the Beehive up wards and some excellent barns are reported. The average weight per fleece is stated to be from two and a halt to three pounds. Our weekly mail service is now an established fact and is greatly appreciated here. Mr 11, Fraser is acting Postmaster for Upper Pohangina, and Mr F. Richards takes charge of the Coal Creek mails What are our County Councillors about ?
