A Charge of Manslaughter.

. (Per Press Association,) Wellington, January 4. At the Magistrate's Court this afternoou William Thomas was committed for trial on a charge of manslaughter. Accused and Lawrence Gosling, wharf laborers quarrelled on the 24th ult., when the latter called Thomas a liar. Thomas knocked Gosling down, who sustained a fractured skull. He remained unconscious for eleven days and then succumbed.
