Messrs Lowes and lorns report at their fortnightly stock sale on Thursday :— Cattle were well represented by all classes there being upwards of 240 head yarded, and, excepting one pen, all lives changed hands at market rates. Iv sheep a few lines advertised were absent, and of those penned two or three lots failed to reach owners' reserves and were passed out un I sold. In cattle a live of fine forward bui ' iocks made £Q ; 2^-year steers £4 Ids ; 2 years £i : 18 mons. 56s ; yearlings 48s ; onl yes. 35s : weaners, 25s to 30s : small beef steers. £5 ; cows, rough, £d 10s ; good £5 5s ; dairy stock, 63s to 70s ; aged cows, 40s to 60i. Sheep - Fat ewes 7s Id : light weights 6s : fat lambs, 4s Gd to • s 8d ; store wethers, 5s Od ; aged ewes, 3s ! pigs, weaners, 7s 6d to 10s.
