New Year's Day.

New Year's Day amusements for this district will be chiefly picnics, mostly of a private nature The sporting public will have the Bulls, Woodville, and Otaki races, wbile those resident at Apiti, Pemberton, and Birmingham wid be pro viaed with amusement near their own doors in the shape of sports at Apiti, which will be held in one of Mr D. Mc Kenzie 8 paddocks at the rear of the Apiti Holel. Given a fine day numbers uf Feilding residents intend taking advantage ofthe holiday to get out of town for a day's pleasure, and we have no doubt the great majority will spend a Happy New Year.
