Changes in Railway Service.

(Per Press Association) Wellington, December 22. It is understood Mr E. P. Pilcher, secretary to the Railway Commissioners, has been offered the position of Traffic Manager at Napier. Various other changes are pending, and it is expected there shortly will be amalgamation of the Public Works and Railway Departments, which will effect further changes. It is reported that in the recent changes several reductions have been made.
