Bankruptcy Cases.

Kirk, of Hawcra, who attempted to abscond from tho colouy without paying his creditors and was sentenced Co a term of imprisonment, applied for a discharge. Judge Richmond said the bankrupt had been punished for the breach of tho Act, though he must take cognizance of his conduct. The application was refused, and Kirk was informed that ho could rouow it after Ist October next. Dunedin, December 19. In bankruptcy to-day the discharge of W. Gregg, coffee ruercnant, was granted. The certificate of K. McLeod, butcher, Tapauui, was suspended for three years.
