Pohangina County Works.

It is the intention of the Pobangina County Council, under the powers contained in " The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1886," or amendment thereef, to raise loans nnder " The Government Loans to Bodies Act, 1886," asfollqws: For the construction of road works in the Feilding Special Settlement Block, being part of Mangapikopiko riding, to the amount of £2,000, for the payment of interest at 5 per cent, on the same for twenty-six years it is proposed to strike a special rate of one penny in the £on the whole of the value of the rateable property (Crown and Native lands excepted) within the Feilding Special Settlement Block. — For works in the Mangoira-Coal Creek Block, within the Mangapikopiko riding, to the amount of £2746 7s 6d. Proposed to strike a Special Bate of threepence half -penny in the £, for payment of interest at 5 per cent for twenty-six years. A meeting of ratepayers, to discuss the above loan proposals, will be held at Mr Guy's Hall, Apiti, on Thursday, 10th January, 1895, at noon. For works in tho Coal Creek Biding of the Pohangina County, to the amounts of L 4900, and £300. For the former it is proposed to levy a Special Bate of threepence half-penny -in the £ on various sections within the said riding, and for the £800 loan it is proposed to levy a Special Bate of three-eighths of a penny in the £. A meeting of rate* payers to discuss these proposals will be held at Mr Bell's woolshed, Oroua river, on Thursday, 10th January, 1895, at noon.
