A miner named Barratt was killed iv the Talismau claim at Karaugahake. A girl named E. Biddick, two years old, was found drowned on Kohimarama beach. Napier, December 6. A young woman named Tyne, wife of a carter at the Spit, died suddenly after an operation under chloroform. Later. At the inquest on Mrs Tyne, wbo died suddenly whilst undergoing an operation under chloroform, for arrest of lieinmorrhage, a verdict of death due to syncope entirely exonerated the doctors. This Day. A man named George Marsh, 40, single, was killed whilst quarryiug on the Bluff hill this morning. He fell 100 feet, bringing a quantity of earth down, and was partially buried in the debris.
