Opening of the Rotorua Railway

A party of police and permaueut artillery, under Inspector Emerson, weut by train to Rotorua to-day, under orders from Government, iv connection with tbe opening of the railway. It is stated the men are only up ou ordinary force duty in view of the large gathering expected, and not iv anticipation of auy counter demonstration ou the part of a section of the local natives.
