Price of Silver and its Effects.
(Per Press Association). London, December 6 Sir T. Sutherland, at a meeting of the P. and O. Company said that the lowered value of silver was seriously affecting their profits, but there was no cause for discouragement, as the busiuess was ou a perfectly souud footing, and debentures wero held in readiness to meet the requirements of the uew mail contract.
