Breach of the Public Health Act

(Per Press Association.) Wellington, December Ji. The Board of Health, presided over by the Colonial Secretary, had under consideration to-day the circumstances connected with the case of the steward of the steamer Gothic, who is alleged to have developed scarlet fever on the voyage to Wellington and the case was not reported. Captain Kidley will be prosecuted for a breach of the Public Health Act in neglecting to report to the Health Officer at Wellington that the man was ill.
