(Per Press Association.) Wellington, November 19. j An infant named James Henry Gardener, aged 18 months, met its death at Whakamarino, Marlborough, under peculiar circumstances. The child was left asleep in a cot, and on the mother returning shortly found him hanging by the chin and back of the head between the handrail and side of the cot, quite dead.
