(Per Press Association.) Wellington, This Day. In reply to a cable, asking for particulars as to the size of the timbor required for paviug, tho Agout-General replied, " Paving blocks 9xßxs. It is necessary the wood should be shipped in planks and not in blocks. Jarrah is now 27s 6d per hundred, and shows an advance of 6s per hundred since Sir Westby Percival's report of October 6th.
