The Kaffir Outbreak
(Per Press Association.) Capetown, October 15. The Kaffirs attacked Lorenzo Marques and were repulsed. Another attack is feared. The Transvaal Government has offered to assist the Portuguese. Later. Twelve Portuguese were killed in repelling the attack on Lorenzo Marquez. The offer of Mr Cecil Rhodes to assist in putting down the rising bas been declined.
