Victorian Politics.

(Per Press Association). Melbourne, Sept. 24. The Patterson Government has decided to tender their resignation on the return of the Governor, Lord Hopetoun, from Sydney. This Day. Mr Turner finds himself in a difficulty with regard to the labor party. Should he include one of its members in his Cabinet he would risk his own re-elec-tion. It is expected that Mr Smith, who sympathised with the labor party without being actually allied to it, will receive a portfolio as a compromise. Mr Trenwith the labour leadeu was offered the chairmanship of committees, but refused, contending his party should be represented in the Callnet as it is now in the Sydney Ministry.
