(Per Press Association. DuHKDXff, September, 24. At • meeting of (he committee of the Danedin Jockey Club to consider the protest lodged by the owner of Dilemma, the second horse in the Kensington Handicap »t the Hunt Club meeting, against Victim, the winner, on the ground that he was trained by an unlicensed trainer, it was resolved not to entertain the protest, as, upder Rule 130, the objection should bav/B been made before the conclusion of tht meeting, whereas it was not lodged until 9 pm, on Monday, the JOtb, while, under Rule 18, the meeting concluded at 10 p.m. on the Btb. The committee decided there had been an infringement by the trainer of Victim, J. Cotton, and, under Bale S3, he was fined £5. The committee were of opinion the wording of Knle 167 is unsatisfactory, as it only prescribes a penalty for an owner employing an unlicensed jockey, but does not provide any penalty ior a trainer -training without a license. Gentlemen who have taken out licenses for fishing would do well to call at the New Zealand Clothing Factory and inspect their Waterproof Waders. The artioles can be made to order in any style, and any one who does much fishing should not be without. We also make Riding ahd Driving Aprons, Shooting and Bicycle Capes, etc. These goods are all guaranteed sewn and taped throughout.— Advt. DO NOT Delay, for it is usually dangerous. For to suffer from indigestion while you. can be cured is folly ; but by using Crease's Taraxacum or Dandelion Coffee you can ■oon be cured. At the great sale at Te House Aro Branch, Falmerston North, buyers of general drapery, household furnishings, blankets, clothing, dress fabrics, and ladies' outfitting, will find the choice very large, and the pnees marvellously cheap. The purchases were made by Mr Smith himself in Sydney, and by a special buyer sent to Chnstchurch to attend the great •ale of Edwards, Bennett and Co. TO SAVE Is to earn, and a few pence saved on each purchase makes a considerable •mount in the course of a year. Buying Crease's A.I. Coffee saves money, for it is the best and goes farthest.
