The Egmont Farmers' Union report : — We had a fair muster of stock, mostly of the dairying class, in onr yards at Stratford, on Friday, the 14th instant. We quote : Dairy cows, £5 to £7 ; 18---months to 2-year steers, £3 6s to £3 155 ; . springers, £4 10s to £7 10s ; fat cows, £4 5s to £5 10s ; cows and calves, £5 ; empty cows, £3 6s. Our Hawera sale, which was held on Wednesday, the 19th 3 instant, was a very good one. We quote : f —Fat bullocks, £6 7s 6d to £1 16s ; fat i cows, £4 16s ; 3-year-old steers, j£4 16s ; 2 to 21-year old steers, £3 2s to £3 16s ; weaners, XI 7s 6d to £2 ss ; springers, 1 £3 15s to £6; dairy cows, £4 5s to £6 . 2s 6d. Sheep— Ewes and lambs, 6s. 5 Pigs— Sows in pig, £2 10s to £2 16s ; r store pigs, 17s 6d to £2 ; suckers, 10s 6d.
