Library Committee Meeting.

A meeting of the Feilding Library Committee was held last evening, Me-ssrs J. H. Stevens (in the chair), G. W. Fowles, A. R. Allan, and J. G. Cobbe, being present. The Librarian's report showed that sis new books had been added to the General, and eight to the young people's, library during the month. The latter department now contains seventy volumes, suitable for young men and women. A few altprations were made in the rules, and the committee decided to take steps to ascertain whether apiece of land could be obtained near the Courthouse upon which to erect a library, as the erection of the new Council Chambers, in which they hoped to have obtained suitable rooms, appears to have been postponed to an indefinite period. A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the meeting.
