The Post Office Robbery at Hastings.

0 (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION) iNapieb, August 3 With reference to the safe robbery at Hastings, the general post office reports that postal notes, money order forms, and Savings Banks' books were recovered. On balancing it was found that stamps to the value of only £83 2s Gd had been stolen, while the actual cash abstracted was found to be £66 16s 3d. The safe also contained registered letters and these were rifled of their valuable contents. Every post office in the colony and all licensed stamp vendors, dealers and collectors have been warned against purchasing stamps without satisfying themselves as to the bona tides of the sellers.
