Messrs Abraham and Williams report: — At Levin, on Wednesday, the cows and heifers advertised lacked condition sadly. This had a depress* ing effect, consequently business was limited and mostly done after the auction. At Woodville the same day supplies were rather short, but all that came forward readily made quotation?. Yesterday, at Palmers* ton, sheep in small numbers were without alteratiou in value. Cattle maintained late rates, all forward changing hands. Levin— Milch cows, £5 ; heifers in calf, £2 las to £3 ; store cows and calves, £3 2s 6d. Woudville — Cattle — 18 •month steers, £2 12s ; weaners, 27s 6d to 32s 6d ; light beef, £5 12s 6d. Two-tooth wetbers, 10s lid. Palmerston — Cattle — 2 to 2£-year steers, £3 15s ; 2-year do, £3 10s j fat bullocks, £6 183 to LI Is ; springing heifers, £5 5s to £6 I2s 6d ; weaners, 36s 6d ; poor sorts, 17s to 245. Sheep —Good ewes, 10s 6d ; small store wethers, E}s Id j Romnejr hoggets, Ss; crossbred boggets, indifferent quality, os 9d ; sound breeding ewes, 9s.
