An Agricultural Bank.
I Per Press Association, i Perth, Thfs Day. The Agricultural Bank Bill, introduced by the Government, provides the Government shall establish and main* tain a bank to promote agriculture. Funds are to be obtained by State mortgages and bonds to accept 2J per cent, instead of 5 per cent., provided under the reconstruction scheme, to be issued by the Treasury, with a currency of 20 years, at 5 per cent, interest. Advances are not to exceed one-half the value of the holdings, and the maximum advance is to be £300. The interest charged to borrower is not to exceed 6 per gent.
