A Painful Accident.
« (PEE PEES 3 ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, Anruet 30. At a fancy dress carnival at the i Columbia skating rink an accident ' happened to Miss McCarthy, of Parnell, who was in a costume representing < " Snow." Her dress caught fire, owing to it being very inflammable material, when the wearer approached one of the gas jets, the result being that the ' young lady was painfully burned about the face, neck, and shoulders, before the flames could be extinguished.
