The Stock Market.
Messrs Gorton and Son report on their stock sales aa follows : — The entries at our Feildiag sale last week were smaller than usual, but we had a very successful little sale. At Marton on Tuesday, though we were disappointed of Beveral entries, we had a fair amount of stock yarded and the prices obtained for hoggets were higher than at former sales. Cattle : —Feilding. — Fat cows, £7; 2-year steers, <£3 2s 6d ; yearlings, 39s 6d to £2 2s 6d ; 2 -year heifers, £3 16s to £5 , milkers, £4 12s 6d to £5 5a 6d. Marton— Yearlings, £2 I ; weaners, 255, Sheep : — Feilding.— 5 pens of hoggets brought from 6s 3d to 8s 10s ; indifferent pens brought 4s 6d. Marton.- 2 to 4 -tooth wethers, 10s; dry ewes, 6s 6d ; woolly hoggets, 9s 9d ; hoggets, 9s.
