Messrs F. R. Jackson and Co 's Johnsonville stock report : — The cattle entered for the market were of a fairly good quality. The bidding was brisk for all descriptions of stock, beef improving Is per lOOlbs. We quote :— Cattle— Best bullocks, £8 to £9 10s ; others, £7 10s to £7 17s 6d ; equal to 20s per lOOlbs Sb«ep — Wethers, 18s 6d to 17s; light mixed wethers, 11b 6d to 14b 4d ; ewes, 10s 9d to 13s 6d. Pigs— Small baconers, 33s to 445; light porkers, 15s to 19s j young pigs, 10s to 11b 6d.
