A very important meeting of Worshipful Masters and Immediate Past Masters under the English and New Zealand Constitutions, says the Ohr:stchurcb Press, was held on Saturday afternoon. The Now Zealand Constitution has been re cognised by over twenty Grand Lodges In all parts of the world, including the Grand Lodges of Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia, who are in full recognition by the Grand Lodges of England, Ireland, and Scotland, These distinguished bodies, however, have de> clined to grant recognition to the New Zealand Constitution, now numbering ninety-eight Lodges. Tbe meeting on Saturday was convened by a Worßhipful Master under the English Constitution, and one under the New Zealand, for the purpose of considering the best means of getting over the difficulty. There was a thoroughly representative meeting, tbe Lodges present being the Canterbury, Couyers, and Amberley, under the Engglish Constitution, the Unanimity, St. Augustine, Kaiapoi, Ashley. Lincoln, Concord, Knikoura, and Chnstchurch, under the Naw Zealand Constitution After some discussion, a number of reso lutions were unanimously adopted, and copies will be forwardod to the different Lodges in the district for their approval and adoption.
