The Labour Market.
(PER FRKSS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, August 23. The arrivals in the Colony during July were 1220 and departures 1619. Of the latter 1195 were for New South Wales. The Labour Journal reports that everywhere unskilled labour is in excess of the demand, though in several places there is a visible decrease in the number of unemployed. During July there were 974 laborers employed in co-operative works by the Survey Department, and 589 laborers and 105 artisans by the Public Works Department. __________
