Fire at Waituna.
A building at Waituna, used as an accommodation house and general store, was destroyed by. fire at three o'clock this morning. The building^ which was owned by Mr W. JR |slk» ington and occupied b^. Mrs MUlard, contained eleven rooms, and was erected some six months ago for an, hotel, but, as the local option poll wW against an increase of houses, it was j used instead as an accommodation, house. The stock was insured^ fov £400 and the furniture for ilOO^in the Imperial Fire Office. The building; was not insured. On August Ist a* fire broke out into the store, but;*ra3 ; extinguished before any damage badr been done to the building.
