The Anarchists are, it is said, responsible for the explosion in the Newcross Post Office, out of revenge for the sentences passed on Ravachol and Vaillant. Paris, August 16. Santo, the assassin of the late President, was executed to-day. The doomed man was scarcely able to walk to the place of execution and trembled violently. On reaching the guillotine he turned towards the crowd and cried, " Courage, Comrades. Vive L'Anarchiel" As the knife dropped several persons, in response to Santo's cry, shouted " Bravo 1 "
