CORRIGAN THE JOCKEY SERIOUSLY INJURED. (Per Press Association.) Meldoubne, August 12. Fine weather was enjoyed for the V.A.T.C. Meeting, and there was a good attendance. The following are the results of the principal events : — Grand National Hurdles* — Favour, 1 ; Billy Boy, 2 ; Cadet 3. Fourteen horses started. Won easily. Time, 4min 22£-ec. Grand National .steeplechase.— Dondi, 1 ; Cerberus, 2 ; Heloia, 3 Eleven started. Dondi made all the running and woe easily. Time, Bmin 32spc. The Waiter fell, and the rider, Corri^an, the well-known cross country rider, was so severely injured that no hopes are hold out for his recovery.
