(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) London, July 27 Colonol Denison, of Ottawa, addressing the Federation League in London, urged that it would be necessary for the British Government to grant preferential rates to the colonies. Unless Canada was united by closer bonds there would be a danger of her br* aking away. America was intriguing to that cud. Professor Bryce, in reply to a question in the House of Commons, said that the Government declined to intervene in the -cotch strike. •Sir J . Yogel, in an article in the United Service Magazine, urges that it is imprudent of Great Britain to nag at and intimidate the colonies into contributing to the Imperial naval defence.
